Spotify Camp Nou Transport Guide: Getting There, Getting Back and Late Kick-Offs

For most visitors staying in central Barcelona, the simplest route to Spotify Camp Nou is Line 3 to Les Corts. From Barcelona Sants, Line 5 to Badal or Collblanc is often handier. Coming straight from the airport, take L9 Sud to Collblanc.

That is only the starting point. The stadium is still being rebuilt, and matchday entrances can change. Check the Access printed on your ticket before deciding where to get off.

The same applies after full-time. Do not fight your way back towards the station you happened to use before the match. Follow the official exit route first, then choose the line that takes you towards your hotel.

Let the ticket choose the final station

FC Barcelona's general stadium page lists pedestrian entrances 9, 15, 15A and 18. Matchday notices since the reopening have also used lettered accesses including Q, V, W, D, E, F, I, K, L and M.

Those are not two interchangeable maps. The permanent facilities page and the operating plan for a particular fixture serve different purposes. On matchday, the ticket and the club's latest mobility notice take priority over an old stadium guide.

At several matches in 2025/26, digital tickets were sent between 24 and three hours before kick-off and included the pedestrian Access to use. Delivery can vary by ticket type and fixture, so keep an eye on the purchase email and the official app rather than relying on that window as a permanent rule.

A station may look closest on the map but leave you on the wrong side of the building works. A quick check of the Access before boarding the Metro can save a long walk around the perimeter.

From central Barcelona and Sants

Line 3 is the natural choice from Plaça de Catalunya, Passeig de Gràcia and much of the old centre. Les Corts suits many entrances on the Travessera de les Corts side. For an Access closer to Joan XXIII or the university district, stay on the train to Palau Reial or Zona Universitària.

The club's standard guidance names Les Corts and Palau Reial on L3, and Collblanc and Badal on L5. Recent matchday plans have also pointed supporters towards Maria Cristina, Zona Universitària and Ernest Lluch to spread the crowd.

Barcelona Sants connects directly with both L3 and L5. Take L3 towards Les Corts for the eastern side of the ground, or L5 towards Badal and Collblanc for the west and south-west. There is no need to change trains; the location of the Access should settle the choice.

Allow for more than the Metro ride if you are arriving by AVE or another long-distance train. You still have to leave the platform, find the underground, walk from the station and clear security. For a first visit, Cholismo Lab would leave at least 90 minutes between the scheduled train arrival and kick-off.

Buses serve the area too, but road restrictions can shorten routes or move stops on matchdays. Unless a bus runs directly from your accommodation, the Metro is easier to plan around.

From the airport: L9 Sud to Collblanc

L9 Sud serves both terminals at Barcelona–El Prat Airport. Trains normally run about every seven minutes. Collblanc connects with L5 and L10 Sud, while the line continues to Zona Universitària for L3.

Collblanc is the straightforward stop for most supporters heading directly to the ground. Zona Universitària can make more sense when the ticket sends you towards Joan XXIII.

You may see a future station called Camp Nou on network plans. It was not open as of July 2026. The airport Metro does not currently deliver passengers to a working Camp Nou station, so use Collblanc or Zona Universitària.

Do not assume that every ordinary city ticket covers the airport stations. The Airport Ticket cost €5.90 in July 2026, while products such as T-usual are valid at Aeroport T1 and T2. Check the exact pass you hold before entering the barriers.

Going straight from a flight with a suitcase is a poor plan. The current stadium guidance says there is no left-luggage facility and laptops and pushchairs are not allowed inside. Some recent fixture notices have also prohibited external batteries. Leave large bags at the hotel or a locker and read the notice for your match before setting off.

Aim to reach the area 90 minutes before kick-off

Since the return to Spotify Camp Nou, advertised gate-opening times have ranged from 90 minutes to two hours before kick-off. The exact time belongs to the fixture notice, not to a permanent stadium rule.

For a first visit, reaching the stadium area 90 minutes early is sensible. It leaves room for a wrong turn around the building works, a ticket-display problem or an identity check without turning the approach into a rush.

Security is likely to take longer for Atlético matches, Clásicos and European nights. You may get through with an hour to spare, but there is little benefit in testing that margin on your first trip.

Wheelchair users and supporters needing mobility assistance should not rely on the general nearest-station advice. The provisional guidance in July 2026 used Access V and Gate 22 or Access F and Gate 4, depending on the seat. Those arrangements can move as more of the stadium opens, so check the accessibility page for the fixture.

After full-time, follow the exit route before choosing a station

The useful thing about Camp Nou's location is the number of stations within walking distance. L3 heads towards the city centre, L3 and L5 both work for Barcelona Sants, and L9 Sud from Collblanc is the airport line.

First, go where stewards and police direct the crowd. Once outside the controlled area, open the journey planner and decide between Les Corts, Palau Reial, Badal and Collblanc. Trying to cross against the main flow merely to return to the morning's station can waste more time than it saves.

If one entrance is backed up, walking to another station on the same useful line can be worthwhile. That does not mean cutting through closed streets or crossing a segregated away-supporter route.

Tram lines T1, T2 and T3 also serve the district. They can be a better fit for accommodation along Diagonal, especially where the Metro would require an awkward change.

Vehicle restrictions begin around the end of the match and remain until traffic has normalised. For a taxi or ride-hailing pick-up, walk beyond the densest part of the crowd and arrange the meeting where ordinary traffic is moving again.

Late kick-offs: check the final connection, not just the first train

Barcelona Metro normally runs from 5am to midnight from Monday to Thursday and on Sundays, until 2am on Fridays and nights before public holidays, and throughout the night on Saturdays. The published closing time is when the final trains leave the two ends of each line.

It does not guarantee that you can enter any station at midnight and complete every connection. For late matches on Monday to Thursday or Sunday, check the last change needed to reach the hotel as well as the departure from the stadium area.

Do not plan a knockout tie around a 90-minute finish. Extra time and penalties can push the journey beyond the normal Metro window. Nitbus services continue overnight, though their routes do not mirror the daytime Metro network. Save a late-night route in the TMB planner before the match.

Private cars cannot enter Spotify Camp Nou while the redevelopment continues, and surrounding streets are restricted before and after fixtures. Even with a hire car, leave it at the accommodation or away from the stadium and use public transport for the final part of the journey.

During the redevelopment, one remembered 'nearest station' is less useful than two pieces of information: the Access on the ticket and the direction you need after full-time. With those settled, the trip from central Barcelona, Sants or the airport is straightforward.
