Do not take a backpack or a suitcase to a match at Spotify Camp Nou. FC Barcelona's entry rules ban both, they ban power banks of any size, and the stadium has no left-luggage. Once you leave the ground you cannot get back in. Go with what fits in your pockets, charge your phone before you set off, and drop any bag somewhere else on the way.

Do not take a backpack to Spotify Camp Nou
The November 2025 PDF of FC Barcelona's conditions of access puts backpacks on the list of banned bulky items. The line reads "Bulky objects, such as stairs, stools, chairs, boxes, backpacks, suitcases". The club's support page answers the question "Can bags and backpacks be brought into the stadium?" with "There is no entry to the stadium with any item of luggage, baby carriages or similar."
None of the club's documents gives a size for bags. The conditions and the illustrated list of banned items put numbers on bottles, objects that could be thrown and flags, but not on bags or backpacks, and the support page gives no measurements at all. You may see "40 x 35 cm" quoted online as the limit, but I could not find that figure in anything FC Barcelona publishes.
The rules do not say whether a small handbag or crossbody bag gets in, and the English version of the illustrated list labels the banned item simply "Luggage and bags". If you need a bag at all, keep it to what you would carry round the city for an evening, and expect it to be searched. Forum posts saying a backpack got through do exist, but the ones I found all date from before the stadium reopened in November 2025, so they say nothing about the checks there now.
| Item | Status at Spotify Camp Nou |
|---|---|
| Backpack | Banned (listed as a bulky object) |
| Suitcase or travel bag | Banned |
| Small handbag or crossbody bag | No size given; the illustrated list bans "Luggage and bags", so entry is not guaranteed |
| Power bank | Banned, any size |
| Laptop or tablet | Banned |
| Professional camera with interchangeable lenses | Banned |
| Compact camera | Not on the banned list |
| Pushchair or pram | Banned, and there is nowhere to leave it |
| Plastic bottle, 500ml or less | Allowed, but the cap is removed |
| Cans, glass or metal bottles | Banned |
| Small folding umbrella | Excluded from the umbrella ban, but checked at the gate like everything else |
| Long, rigid umbrella | Banned |
| Passport or ID card | Bring it; staff can ask to see it |
There is nowhere to leave a bag at the stadium, so drop it on the way
Spotify Camp Nou has no cloakroom or left-luggage. The conditions say "No storage service will be provided." The support page tells you to leave luggage "at your hotel, in your vehicle or somewhere else outside the stadium before entering", and recent match notices repeat that there is no left-luggage. Pushchairs are not allowed in either, and the club's accessibility page adds that there is no left luggage for them.
So leave the bag before you reach the ground. Bounce lists storage spots 5 to 8 minutes from Camp Nou, from €3.25 a bag a day (checked 12 October 2026); the listings do not say whether those minutes are on foot. Booking through the luggage-storage links in this article may earn Cholismo Lab a small commission, at no extra cost to you. For an evening kick-off, choose the spot by its closing time rather than its distance; the hours of the nearest ones are at the end of this article.
Your phone is your ticket, and power banks are banned
The banned list includes "Power Banks of any size", along with e-cigarettes. The notices for the Atlético, Real Madrid and Getafe matches since April 2026 all name external batteries, next to laptops and pushchairs. A slim magnetic battery that clips to the back of a phone is still a power bank, so its size does not help.
The ticket is digital. The club says it arrives between 24 and three hours before the match, with the pedestrian entrances you can use; if the instructions that come with your ticket say otherwise, follow those. Charge the phone fully before you head to the ground.
Laptops, tablets and professional cameras with interchangeable lenses are banned as well. A compact camera is not on the list, though the rules stop there and do not say it is allowed.
The food rule is about containers and weight
The conditions ban containers "made of metal, glass, ceramics, wood or any rigid material", cans of any size, and objects over 500 grams or 500 millilitres that could be thrown. They have no line on food itself. Smaller containers are allowed, "but the cap will be removed without exception."
So a plastic bottle of 500ml or less gets in without its cap, and the club's accessibility page lists exactly that among the permitted items. Rigid reusable bottles, whether glass, metal or hard plastic, do not. Alcohol is banned.
A club help page saying outside food and drink are not allowed is about the club's ice rink, not the stadium. I could not confirm how the gates treat a sandwich in soft wrapping, so keep any snack small and leave the hard lunchbox at home.
Long umbrellas, large flags and drums stay outside
Umbrellas sit in the weapons clause. Golf umbrellas and umbrellas with metal tips are banned, folding umbrellas are excepted, and the latest match notice also names long, rigid umbrellas.
Flags and banners larger than 2m x 3m are banned, and so are poles of any size. The conditions also say that displaying a flag or banner needs the club's prior authorisation, and they ban the banners and symbols of supporters' groups the club does not recognise. The illustrated list adds that offensive flags are banned at any size. Flares and fireworks, megaphones, bass drums and compressed-air horns are out, and so is anything that covers the face. The exceptions for bad weather and for medical or religious reasons sit in the line about the supporters' Entertainment Area, so if you need a face covering anywhere else in the ground, check with the club before the match.
The club says the list is not exhaustive. For specific needs or reduced mobility, its accessibility page gives the Specialised Services Office (OAE) at [email protected].
Read the club's notice for your match before you set off
At the entrance, the club's private security can search you and, with your permission, your belongings. Anyone who refuses a search or will not show identification is refused entry, so carry a passport or ID card. There is no re-entry: the conditions say "No further access to the premises will be permitted once they have been abandoned."
For the most recent matches the gates opened 90 minutes before kick-off, and the ticket lists the pedestrian entrances in use. The Camp Nou transport guide covers which station suits which entrance.
The club posts a mobility and accessibility notice before its matches, and those notices have named more items over time. The November and December 2025 notices I read mentioned no left-luggage, laptops and pushchairs. From April 2026 they also named external batteries, which the conditions already banned, and the notice for the Getafe match on 10 October 2026 added long, rigid umbrellas. The stadium is still being rebuilt, and the set of entrances in use has changed from one match to the next. Before you leave, open the notice for your match on fcbarcelona.com and read the paragraph on what you cannot bring. Some notices have no such paragraph; the club's conditions of access apply either way.
For Atlético supporters the controls can be tighter. Barcelona v Atlético in April 2026 was run as a high-risk match under the club's rival-fan control protocol, and visiting supporters could only get in with a ticket managed by their own club in the away section. The Camp Nou away fans guide explains how the away allocation works.
Collecting a bag after an evening match. Closing times differ from listing to listing, and the listings do not always agree. On 12 October 2026, the spot on Carrer Arizala was listed as closing at 23:00, and after a 21:00 kick-off you are unlikely to be back before then. Two listings at the same address, Carrer del Regent Mendieta 6, showed different hours, one until 23:00 and the other until 01:00. A spot near Collblanc station, 5 minutes from Camp Nou, showed round-the-clock hours on most days. A review of the Arizala spot says its hours differed slightly from the ones shown on Bounce, so check the pick-up time for your match day on Bounce before booking, and pick a spot that will still be open when you come back.
