If you are on Gran Canaria for a winter break and want to see Las Palmas, buy from the club's own site in your own name and take your passport to the ground. Online tickets carry a name, and a ticket in someone else's name will not get you in. Las Palmas are in the second division, LaLiga Hypermotion, this season, and apart from the Canary derby I would not expect a league match here to sell out.
For a first match I would sit in Sur, the cheaper of the two long sides. Tribuna is the only stand with a roof, and worth the extra if rain is forecast. If you are staying in the south, plan the ride home before you buy. After a 20:00 kick-off the buses south leave from San Telmo, with Global 5 going to Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas and Global 1, whose last bus leaves at 23:30, continuing to Puerto Rico and Mogán.
Information checked on 14 October 2026.
Four stands, and two of the names point the wrong way
The Estadio de Gran Canaria opened in 2003 and holds 32,400. Tribuna runs down one long side, and Sur faces it from the other. Behind one goal is Curva, a big curved end, and behind the other is Naciente, a small end with a single tier.
The names do not follow the compass. Maps put Tribuna on the west side, which makes Sur, "south", the east stand and Naciente, "sunrise", the north end. If you hold the seat plan up against a map app, go by the stand names.
The club's seat plan gives each section a letter for the tier and a number. A is the upper tier, B the middle and C the rows nearest the pitch. Tribuna runs from A01 to A10 at the top, B01 to B12 in the middle and C01 to C12 at the front, and its central blocks, B06 to B08 and A05 to A06, are sold as Tribuna Especial. Sur is A22 to A31, B24 to B35 and C24 to C35. Curva takes the numbers in between, and Naciente is B36 to B42. A32, the top corner of Sur next to Naciente, is the away section, and its tickets are sold by the visiting club.
The running track was taken out in 2015/16, and the lower ring was rebuilt about 20 metres closer to the pitch everywhere except Naciente. A bigger rebuild before the 2030 World Cup is planned to put a roof over every stand. The island council's contracting board provisionally picked OHLA and Sando for it in October, and the contract was expected to be signed at the end of November. I found no notice of a stand closing this season, and if one appears I will update this guide.
Sur is the cheaper long side, and Tribuna is the one with a roof
Tribuna is the only part of the ground with anything overhead. The roof sits high above the stand, and I would not assume it reaches the front rows of the C sections. Sur, Curva and Naciente are open to the sky.
Sur gives you the long-side view for less. It faces west, towards Tribuna, and going by the map I would expect people in Sur to be looking into the sun at a 17:30 kick-off in February or March. By a 20:00 kick-off in winter the sun has already set.
udlaspalmas.NET, an independent Las Palmas site, reported in August that prices were the same as last season, from €24 in Naciente to €64 in Tribuna, with Curva and Sur in between and Tribuna Especial and VIP above that. I have not seen those prices on the club's sale screen, so take them as a guide to the gaps between stands. World Soccer's guide to the ground, written in 2016 just after the track came out, put the best seats in Tribuna and sent neutrals to Sur, which is the split I would make.
Naciente is the cheapest way in, one tier behind the north goal. I would keep it for a second visit, when a view from one end matters less than the price.
Buy from Las Palmas in your own name, and take your passport
Las Palmas sell at the stadium box offices and online on the club's ticket page, which also comes in German and French. Under the ground regulations, any other seller has to be authorised and announced by the club, and the club takes no responsibility for tickets bought through unauthorised channels.
Online tickets are nominative. They carry a name, and staff can ask for ID to check it. The regulations accept a passport alongside the Spanish DNI and NIE, and they turn away anyone holding a nominative ticket that is in another person's name. That is why I would not buy from resale or package sites here, where the name on the ticket may not be yours. There are no exchanges or refunds.
I could not get into the sale screen to see whether an order for several people names each ticket separately, so if you are buying for a family, check the names before you pay. Everyone needs a ticket, babies included, and under-16s have to come with an adult.
udlaspalmas.NET put last season's league average at 18,524, a little over half the capacity. Online sales started only five days before the opening match in August and ten days before Real Sociedad B on 24 October. For the opening match the box offices opened the day after the online sale, at window 8 in Curva, and on match day windows 7 and 8 sold from 10:00, with 3 and 9 added two hours before kick-off.
Pushchairs and suitcases are not allowed in, and neither are bottles over half a litre, food or other objects over 500 g, or alcohol.
Kick-off times are in Canary time, and the January derby may bring tighter ticket rules
Las Palmas give kick-off times in hora canaria, written h.c., which is an hour behind mainland Spain and the same as UK time. Castellón's announcement for their visit on 17 October gave 21:00, the mainland time, for a match that kicks off at 20:00 on the island.
From late November to March Las Palmas are at home roughly every other weekend. Those dates are provisional, and the kick-off times have not been set yet.
Tenerife, provisionally on 3 January, is the one match to treat differently. If the Canary derby is classed as high risk, which is decided match by match, the regulations cut the limit from the usual six tickets per person to four, although the security coordinator can allow up to six at the club's request. The stadium box offices also do not sell on the day, unless the coordinator has agreed to it in advance. I would buy it online as soon as the general sale opens and not count on the box office.
Change at San Telmo, and take the night bus if you miss the last 91
If you are staying in the south, San Telmo bus station is where you change. Global 5 and 30 both run between Playa del Inglés and San Telmo, and city line 91 leaves from the Rafael Cabrera stop beside the station for Avenida Pintor Felo Monzón, next to the ground. Coming back, get off the 91 at Francisco Gourié 103, by San Telmo. The last 91 leaves Tamaraceite, the far end of the line, at around ten at night, and after that the night line L3 runs the same way past the ground to Triana (Parque San Telmo), from 22:45 on Saturdays and 23:00 on Sundays. From San Telmo, Global 5 runs to Playa del Inglés and Faro de Maspalomas late into the night. It stops there. For Puerto Rico or Mogán you need Global 1, and its last departure from San Telmo is at 23:30. The L3 timetable gives only its times from Tamaraceite, so do not count on the night bus to make that connection. The last Global 30 south leaves Santa Catalina at 21:15, and on weekdays and Saturdays another starts from San Telmo at the same time. That can work after a 17:30 kick-off, but not after one at 20:00.
