For a first match at Riazor I would sit on one of the covered long sides, Preferencia Superior or Tribuna Inferior, both €70 in Deportivo's public sale for the Levante match. I would leave out Preferencia Inferior. It is cheaper, but it is the one stand without a roof, and Atlético's visit falls in January.

Season-ticket holders take most of the ground and get priority in each match's sale. In this season's league matches that priority ended six to 13 days before kick-off.

Information checked on 13 October 2026. Prices are from Deportivo's public sale for the Levante match on 16 October 2026 and do not include the €2.20 booking fee per ticket.

Riazor's seat names are stand, tier and side, and the gate number tells you the stand

Riazor has four stands, each with an upper tier, Superior, and a lower one, Inferior. The Tribuna runs along Calle Manuel Murguía on the north side and holds the directors' box. Opposite it, on Avenida de La Habana, is the Preferencia. Behind the goals, Marathón is the west end and Pabellón the east end, the one nearer the beach.

The ticket page then splits each stand into Impar and Par. On the club's 2025-26 seating plan the two words sit on opposite halves of every stand, so I read them as its left and right sides. The sale divides those halves again into numbered parts and corners, which is how you end up with names such as Tribuna Superior Impar 2 or Preferencia Superior Par Corner.

The gate printed on a ticket tells you which stand you are in. For the Levante match the sale listed gates 2 to 4 and 27 to 29 for the Tribuna, 14 to 19 for the Preferencia, 21 to 24 for Pabellón and 7, 8 and 12 for Marathón Superior.

Riazor will not be a 2030 World Cup ground. A Coruña withdrew as a host city in March 2026, and the city and Deportivo's majority shareholders agreed instead to modernise the Riazor sports complex, stadium included, with the provincial council collaborating. The March announcement gave no timetable or budget.

Season-ticket holders get priority in each league sale, ending six to 13 days before kick-off

Riazor holds 32,490, all seated, and Deportivo closed its 2026-27 season-ticket campaign with 27,637 season-ticket holders who have a seat.

This season's league matches have all been sold the same way, online at the club's ticketing site and at the club office behind the Preferencia on Avenida de La Habana, with a priority window for season-ticket holders. Every ticket is in the name of the person using it, so you enter each spectator's details when you buy, and stewards can ask to see ID at the gate. A passport counts. For the Levante match on Friday 16 October, season-ticket holders had priority until 18:00 on Wednesday 7 October. Across the five home league matches so far this season, that window closed between six and 13 days before kick-off. The club's announcement for your match is where to check when you can buy. Each announcement gives a starting price and says prices can change with availability, so the figures in the next section belong to one match.

The cup tie against Atlético in January 2026 was tighter. A local report said season-ticket holders could buy up to two tickets each until the night of 11 January, and the public sale opened at 00:01 on 12 January, the day before the match.

Atlético's league visit is on the matchday of 24 January 2027, and LaLiga has not set the day or the kick-off time. Nothing for it is on sale yet, and the sale of ordinary seats for the next home match, against Osasuna, had not opened either. If the club keeps to this season's pattern, that window would close in the fortnight before kick-off.

Pick a stand with a roof first: Preferencia Superior or Tribuna Inferior

StandSuperior (upper)Inferior (lower)
Tribuna€80€70
Preferencia€70€60
Marathón€55not listed
Pabellón€50€50

Preferencia Superior looks across at the Tribuna from the upper tier, and Tribuna Inferior is the lower tier of the stand with the directors' box.

Tribuna Superior is €80, €10 more than those two. I found nothing about the view from up there that would justify the difference, so I would only go up if the €70 seats have gone.

Preferencia Inferior, at €60, is the cheapest seat on a long side, and it has no roof. A column in the local paper DXT Campeón in January 2026 called it the only uncovered stand in the ground. The same column described rain starting at a women's match, with the people in that stand not let up into the covered tier until stoppage time at the end of the first half. For a January match I would not take the chance.

If the budget decides it, Pabellón was the cheapest stand at €50 for either tier, behind the east goal at the beach end. Marathón Superior, behind the other goal, was €55.

Marathón Inferior is where the noise is, and it was not on the public sale for the Levante match

The singing section at Riazor is Marathón Inferior, the lower tier behind the west goal. Local reports place three supporter groups there: the Riazor Blues, the Federación de Peñas and Old Faces.

Three days before the Levante match, the club's sale listed sections in all four stands, several of them with low-availability warnings, and nothing in Marathón Inferior. The closest seats on sale were in the tier above it, Marathón Superior, at €55.

Atlético fans sit in the south-east corner, through gate 20

Atlético supporters at Riazor go in the away section in the upper tier of the south-east corner, where the Pabellón end meets the Preferencia. The club's ground regulations call it Fondo Pabellón Superior Curva Impar and send away fans through gate 20 on Avenida de La Habana.

Away tickets come through Atlético's own application for members, not through Deportivo's public sale. The guide to Atlético away tickets covers who can apply and how.
