Most matches are on sale at face value on the club site
Atlético de Madrid home matches are sold to non-members at face value on the club's official site. In 2026-27 the club has released fixtures in batches, at least for the rest of the calendar year. All six LaLiga home matches from September to December (Osasuna, Real Madrid, Deportivo, Barcelona, Betis and Valencia) went on sale together, to members on 24 August and to the public on 26 August. The Champions League matches against Manchester United and Bayern followed, members on 1 September and the public on 3 September. The club's FAQ says matches normally go on sale two months before they are played, but this season the December fixtures opened at the end of August, so the real gap runs from three weeks to more than three months. The "10 to 14 days before kick-off" that the ticket sites I checked still quote does not match anything the club has released so far this season.
On 8 September 2026 the club's fixture list showed general sale open for Osasuna, Deportivo, Barcelona, Betis, Valencia and the Champions League games against Manchester United and Bayern. When I opened the Osasuna seat map the same day, eight days before the match, about 6,000 seats were still available across the four areas, members-only sections included.
Four fixtures were hard this autumn. The derby was played on 20 September and the record of that sale is in its own article. The club's general seats had shown sold out within two weeks of general sale opening, and by 8 September the authorised agency P1 Travel had pulled its prices too. Barcelona, Manchester United and Bayern still had the club's buy button that day, and P1's "from" prices for those three ran €175 to €275, against €35 to €79 for everything else. On 27 September those three read €155 for Manchester United, €199 for Bayern and €299 for Barcelona, against €55 to €125 for the other seven fixtures on the same page. For fixtures on that level, plan to buy on the first day of general sale. For the rest, as of 8 September, the club site had seats for most fixtures. Stock moves, though, and the button alone does not tell you what is left. When the club has nothing left, my first stop is P1 Travel and my second is Hellotickets, and the reasons are in the agencies section below. Booking through the agency links in this article may earn Cholismo Lab a small commission, at no extra cost to you.
The sale order, and why members get two windows
The entry point is the club's fixture list, where each match shows one of four buttons: COMPRAR ENTRADAS, the door into the purchase page; VENTA PARA SOCIOS, members-only sale in progress; AVÍSAME, which registers you for a notification before general sale opens; and a separate VIP button. COMPRAR ENTRADAS does not mean general seats remain. The derby kept its button after it showed sold out on 8 September.
Socios get two windows, the club's FAQ says: a 48-hour priority window whenever tickets go on sale, in every competition, and a second 48-hour window once the kick-off time is confirmed. This season LaLiga published the times for matchdays six and seven on 30 August, about two to three weeks before the matches. If the FAQ is applied as written, a match that is on general sale can become unavailable to non-members for two days right after its kick-off time is set.
The same FAQ says there are no season tickets for 2026-27 and the waiting list is full and closed to new applications. Telemadrid put the waiting list at 11,257 in May 2026, and EFE reported that the roughly 1,200 seats freed this summer went to that list in order of registration. Becoming a member does not shortcut any of this. Season-ticket holders now have to use their pass at least ten times a season, and seats they release go back on sale through the club's official channels. Whether those seats reach the general sale that non-members can buy from, I could not establish.
Atleti Red & White, the paid membership for supporters abroad (€20 a year), is not worth buying for tickets. Discounted tickets and away-ticket requests are for full members only, so this tier gets neither, and presale is not among its benefits. One more group buys elsewhere: for Champions League matches, UEFA's regulations (Article 45) send at least 5 per cent of capacity to the visiting club at no more than €50, and the visiting club sells those seats to its own supporters.
How to buy on the club site
For some matches, clicking COMPRAR ENTRADAS drops you into a Queue-it waiting room first. On 2 September the derby queue showed an estimated wait of "more than an hour", with a note that you have ten minutes to enter once your turn comes and that leaving the page does not lose your place. The Osasuna fixture went straight to the sales page the same day with no queue.
The sales page asks you to log in, but "Seguir como invitado", continue as a guest, gets you through without an account. A "Precios" tab lists each area's "from" price and the number of seats left. For Osasuna, when I checked on 8 September, that read Fondo Sur from €30, Lateral Oeste from €40, Fondo Norte from €50 and Lateral Este from €60.
Click an area and you get the list of blocks, each with its price, seats left and notes. Read the notes. The lower tier of Fondo Sur (blocks 127 to 133) is members only, name-bound, with ID and membership card checked at the turnstile, and unallocated, so the seat you pick on the map is not your final seat. The €30 seats are those. The cheapest seats a non-member could buy in Fondo Sur were €50 in the upper tier and €60 in the middle tier. Pick a block and the view switches to a 3D seat map where you choose seats one by one.
The notes on the page also say that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded and that babies need a ticket. Since February 2025 the club has said tickets can be added to Apple or Android Wallet and scanned by NFC at the gate. My own test went as far as the seat map. I have not checked what the checkout asks for after that.
When the club has sold out, use the authorised agencies in order of safety
P1 Travel is first for me for two reasons. It is one of four companies with the "Agencia Autorizada" seal on the club's Agencias page (P1 Travel, VB Global Group, AJ Tickets and Hellotickets), and for some matches it sells before the club's general sale opens. On 2 September, while the club was still selling Manchester United tickets to members only, P1 had seats from €199, with general sale not opening until 3 September. If you need to fix travel dates early, that gap is the reason to use it.
P1 charges above face value. On 2 September its standard derby seats started at €375, close to €100 more than the €280 that okdiario reported for general-sale Lateral seats at the 2024 derby. I still put it first because standard seats are guaranteed to be together for groups of up to three, a hotel can be added from €75 per person in the same booking, and on 2 and 8 September there was no queue on P1's pages. P1's Atlético page says the e-tickets arrive "close to the event", and the match pages are more specific: "Get your tickets between 1 and 3 days before the event". The terms call P1 "a reseller of Tickets" and say tickets and services generally cannot be returned, with an exception where the buyer has a right of withdrawal. If force majeure cancels or postpones the match you can end the agreement and claim your money back, and P1 may offer a voucher of the same value instead. I could not check whether you see your seat number before you pay. Current listings are on P1 Travel's Atlético page.
If P1 has nothing, Hellotickets is next. It carries the same authorised-agency seal and has a wider spread of prices. Its derby listings started at US$304 on 2 September. Many listings, though, only gave the section as "Shortside" or "Longside" with no block number. Hellotickets itself is an authorised agency, but its terms cover both third-party sellers and its own sales as an official distributor, and the seal alone does not tell you which route a given listing came through. Choose by section label rather than by lowest price. See the Atlético listings on Hellotickets.
Three things I would not touch. Private sales on social media or forums sit outside anything the club endorses. Any listing for a seat in the Grada de Animación is for an area the club treats as members' and season-ticket holders' territory, so leave it. Some sites outside the four agencies also call their tickets official. The club's Agencias page is the list I trust.
What seats cost
I could not find a published table of 2026-27 LaLiga face values. What you can see is the price on the sales page, and for Osasuna that meant the €50 and €60 Fondo Sur seats from the seat map above. The "from" price for an area can include members-only blocks, so the real minimum is in the block list.
For the big matches, the official prices survive in the press. According to okdiario, the Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona in April 2026 sold to the public at €70 to €220 in the end stands and €190 to €390 in the Tribuna (the side stands), with member prices about 20 per cent lower. General sale for that tie opened 24 days before the match. For the September 2024 derby, the same outlet reported €70 for members in the upper end stands and €280 for general-sale Lateral seats.
VIP seats are sold separately by Neptuno-Atlético de Madrid Premium, reached through the VIP button on the fixture list. I have not checked what is on offer or at what price, so the name is all I will give you.
Fixture pages, seats, bags and transport are covered elsewhere
The Real Madrid fixture has its own page, from the sale opening to the sell-out and what the day itself is like. Seating, the bag policy and transport each have their own guide, and the matchday Madrid guide covers the rest of the day. The area you sleep in has its own guide, because the kick-off time is usually fixed after you have booked. The opening section of this article and its check date will be updated whenever the sale status changes.
