For a first Villarreal match at the Estadio de la Cerámica I would buy in Preferencia, the long stand facing the main stand, as close to halfway as the sale allows, upper or lower tier. In the club's 2024 and early-2025 sales the cheapest seats were in the upper north stand, the Grada Alta on the current map, behind and above the north goal. A 2024 club map labelled that stand low-visibility, and the away section now sits at one end of it, so it is a seat for buyers who choose on price alone.
Villarreal have more than 19,000 season-ticket holders in a stadium that holds 23,173, and past general sales have opened close to matchday.
Information checked on 13 October 2026. This season's prices are from the club's sale for the Champions League match against Napoli that day; LaLiga prices are from its published sales in 2024 and early 2025.
The 2026/27 map has new names, and most seat plans online are older
The Cerámica is being rebuilt while Villarreal keep playing in it. The club puts capacity at 23,173 and says the work carries on through the season. Some seats have gone, others have changed category and name, and the middle of the main stand, halfway line included, is now a hospitality area called Club La Cerámica.
So read the ground from the club's 2026/27 season-ticket map. The main stand is the Tribuna, and outside Club La Cerámica it keeps two blocks of ordinary seats, Trib. Central and Trib. Lateral, both on the Fondo Sur side of halfway. Opposite is Preferencia, in two tiers: Pref. Baja at the bottom, Pref. Central and Pref. Lateral above. Par and Impar split Preferencia into its two halves, and the halfway line runs between the Central Par and Central Impar blocks. Behind the north goal is Fondo Norte, with the Grada Alta rising behind and above it. Fondo Sur is the other end, and the four corners are sold as Esquinas.
Since the 2022 works the roof covers every seat.
Seat plans on resale sites still show the older layout, with a Palco de Honor on the main stand. The club's 2026/27 map has no Palco de Honor and no Super Tribuna either.
Season tickets take most seats, and past general sales have opened close to matchday
Villarreal passed 19,000 season-ticket holders for 2026/27 and described the season tickets as close to sold out. Only 1,000 were offered to new holders. A holder who cannot make a match can hand the seat back to the club, and if the club sells it the holder gets a discount.
In 2024 and early 2025 the club opened general sales anything from a few days to two weeks before the match. For ordinary matches the notices listed online, the official club shops and the stadium ticket office, which opens two hours before kick-off on match days; the August 2024 Atlético notice listed only online and the shops. The current list of matches and what is on sale is on the club's ticket page.
Against Atlético in August 2024, only two areas went on sale: the Fondo Norte Upper at €60 and the Super Tribuna at €225. For a big fixture the choice can come down to the cheapest seat on general sale or the dearest, which is why it helps to have decided in advance how far you will go either way.
Champions League nights may leave more seats over. The LaLiga season ticket does not include the Champions League; a separate Champions pass does, and the club has not said how many holders bought each.
For a first visit, the long side opposite the main stand, near halfway
With Club La Cerámica in the middle of the main stand, the seats level with halfway outside it are in Preferencia: Pref. Central Par and Impar in the upper tier, Pref. B. Cent. Par and Impar below. From a long side near halfway both goals stay in the same picture, and I would put that ahead of the tier. I found no first-hand accounts comparing the upper and lower Preferencia, so take whichever central block is on sale. If Preferencia has gone, Trib. Central on the main stand is my next pick.
The singing section, the Grada de Animación, is in the corner where Fondo Norte meets the lower Preferencia. An older English guide puts Villarreal's loudest fans in Fondo Sur, but the club's map puts them at the other end. For the noise, look at Fondo Norte and the Pref. Baja Lateral blocks beside that corner.
The Grada Alta has been the cheap option. The 2024 map called it "Grada Alta Norte Baja Visibilidad", the upper north stand with low visibility, and in 2026/27 the away section is at its Preferencia end. In the club's LaLiga sales of 2024 and early 2025 it was the cheapest ticket, listed as Fondo Norte Upper.
On 13 October, the day of the Champions League match against Napoli, the club's ticket screen still listed nine zones, with 476 seats left between them. The screen uses older names, so the upper Preferencia appears as Trib. Pref. Alta.
| Zone on the sale screen, Napoli (Champions League) | From | Seats left |
|---|---|---|
| Fondo Norte, Fondo Sur and two Fondo Sur corners | €155 | 318 |
| Trib. Pref. Alta Lateral Impar | €280 | 29 |
| Trib. Pref. Alta Central Par and Impar | €330 | 64 |
| Tribuna Central Par, Tribuna Lateral Par | €330 | 65 |
Neither the Grada Alta nor the lower Preferencia was in the list, and the list did not say whether a booking fee is added.
LaLiga prices are a different scale. The last ones the club published, for 2024 and early 2025, were €20 in the Fondo Norte Upper, €25 behind the goals, €35 in Preferencia, €50 to €52.50 in the Tribuna and €150 in the Super Tribuna, each with a €2.50 fee. Atlético cost more: €60 in the Fondo Norte Upper and €225 in the Super Tribuna at both 2024 meetings, with the zones in between at €80 to €140 in April.
If the club's sale has nothing left in the zone you want for a LaLiga match, Hellotickets, a ticket marketplace, is the other place to look: Villarreal CF tickets on Hellotickets. Booking through the agency links in this article may earn Cholismo Lab a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It is not the club, and its prices move with availability.
Away fans sit at one end of the Grada Alta and buy through their own club
On the 2026/27 map the visiting section, marked Visitante, is at the Preferencia end of the Grada Alta. The club's 2024 map had it at the main-stand end, so older directions may send you to the wrong corner.
Tickets for it come through the visiting club. Manchester City had 1,163 for their visit in October 2025, and were told their eight wheelchair spaces would be in the home section rather than with the away fans. UEFA's 2026/27 Champions League regulations cap visiting-supporter tickets at €50, which is what Napoli's away tickets were advertised at. I found no travel details yet from Paris Saint-Germain for 3 November or from Manchester United for 27 January 2027, so the visiting club's own announcements are the place to watch.
When United came for a Champions League match in 2021, Villarreal sold their general-sale tickets only in person at the official shops, in the name of each person attending, with ID, four per person, with no online sale and none to away fans, and said United supporters could only watch from the away stand.
LaLiga currently lists Atlético's visit for 21 April 2027, without a kick-off time. Their supporters go through Atlético's away-ticket application, which the away tickets guide explains. A home seat is the riskier route, because LaLiga's spectator guidance lists acting as a visiting supporter in a home area, when it threatens safety and public order, among the reasons for refusing entry or removing a fan.
After a 21:00 kick-off, sort out the way back before you buy
The stadium is in Vila-real itself, on Calle Blasco Ibáñez beside the Plaza del Labrador. Before their October 2025 visit, Manchester City told supporters that public transport from Villarreal ends at 10pm, and that with the match finishing around 11pm there would be no trains or buses afterwards and only a small number of local taxis.
The Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United matches both kick off at 21:00. For those I would either stay in Vila-real or have the trip back booked before buying a ticket. For Atlético's visit the same check applies once LaLiga sets the kick-off time.
Booking a LaLiga match as a neutral visitor. Start with the club's own sale, since it is Villarreal selling their own seats. If it has nothing left, Hellotickets also lists Villarreal against Atlético in April 2027 and Villarreal's other LaLiga home matches; compare the seat category and fees with the club's sale before paying. If you support Atlético, use the away application instead.
