Fourteen days into general sale, the ordinary seats showed sold out and only a €420 bench-side pair remained
Atlético de Madrid host Bayern Munich on Tuesday 3 November 2026, kick-off 21:00 local time. Spain and Germany are both on winter time by then, so that is 21:00 in Munich as well and 20:00 in the UK. The club sold this match to members from 1 September and to the general public from 3 September. When I opened the sales screen on 17 September, fourteen days into general sale, Fondo Sur and Lateral Este and Fondo Norte all read "Entradas agotadas", and Lateral Oeste held two seats.
The only block in Lateral Oeste with anything left was "EXPERIENCIA BANQUILLO - 1063" at €420, the bench-side experience. Every ordinary block behind it showed sold out, the lower tier from 100 to 110, the whole upper tier from 400 through to 512, the middle tier at 200 and 201.
The map can still refill, so check the club before you check anything else. A season-ticket holder who is not using a seat can hand it back "hasta 2 horas antes del inicio de cada partido", up to two hours before kick-off, and the same FAQ tells holders that a seat given up several days out stands a better chance of selling. Released seats go back on the screen, and they did here. During a later check on 17 September the screen carried seats again in three areas, and when I looked once more at 16:31 that afternoon they had gone. How many appear, and for how long, nobody publishes, so open the map again a few days out instead of planning a trip around it. When the club has nothing you can use, my first stop is P1 Travel, for reasons I set out below. Booking through the agency links in this article may earn Cholismo Lab a small commission, at no extra cost to you.
€70 in the top corners, €420 in the front row, and the €50 block is members only
A sold-out block prints no price on the sales screen, so for the Manchester United match I could only report what was still on sale. The Bayern fixture page carries a price map of the whole ground, an image where most ordinary seating blocks carry two figures, PÚBLICO GENERAL on top and SOCIOS DEL CLUB underneath, with a few exceptions I come to below.
The general prices run from €70 to €420, and members pay less in every block that carries a member price. Both Fondos are €75 general and €60 for members in the upper tier, and €125 and €100 in the middle. Fondo Norte's lower tier is €100 and €80. The lower tier of Fondo Sur carries no pair of figures at all, only "ZONA EXCLUSIVA SOCIOS 50", and the club's FAQ says why: "Únicamente los socios del club (excepto Benjamines) pueden adquirir entradas en el Fondo Sur Grada Baja." Those are name-bound, with a DNI check at the turnstile. Lateral Este is €120 and €95 in the upper centre, and the tiers below it run from €150 up to €320 at pitch level. Lateral Oeste, the main stand, holds both ends. Its top corners are the cheapest general seats in the ground at €70, or €55 for a member, and its front row is the dearest at €420 and €330, which is where the €420 on the sales screen comes from.
A band of dark blue blocks runs along both sides with a single figure in each rather than a general and member pair, reaching €1,540 in the middle of Lateral Oeste. The map's legend does not cover those, and nothing on it says they are general sale. The club sells VIP for this match separately, through Neptuno-Atlético de Madrid Premium, and I have not looked inside that route.
The way in is the club's fixture list. On the 17 September list the Champions League dates were already fixed while several later LaLiga home matches still read "Sin confirmar". The Bayern row showed COMPRAR ENTRADAS and nothing beside it, with none of the separate VIP button that the Deportivo and Barcelona rows had. I would read nothing into that, because the match page says VIP is already on sale there.
The button is not a stock count. It said COMPRAR ENTRADAS for the derby when all four areas were sold out, it said the same for Manchester United when six general seats were left, and it says the same here. Clicking through put me on the seat map with no queue, and "Seguir como invitado", continue as a guest, gets past the login without an account. A "Precios" panel then lists each area with a from-price and a number of seats, and both figures belong to that area's cheapest block rather than to the area as a whole, so open the area to get the blocks. On the FAQ's account members get first refusal twice, 48 hours before every general sale in any competition and another 48 once the kick-off time is confirmed. The screen warns that "Las entradas adquiridas no admiten cambios ni devoluciones". The match page asks supporters with reduced mobility or using a wheelchair to email [email protected] in advance.
The authorised agency I would use, and what I would leave alone
P1 Travel is one of four companies carrying the "Agencia Autorizada" seal on the club's own Agencias page, and it guarantees standard seats up to three together. If you want the trip fixed now instead of watching a seat map for the next six weeks, that is what an agency is for. Its Bayern listing has sat at €199 since 8 September. Over the same nine days the Manchester United listing on the same page fell from €175 to €155, Deportivo climbed from €75 to €95 and Barcelona from €275 to €299.
On 18 September P1 listed four things for the night. Standard tickets from €199, a Tourist Package at €239 that adds a stadium tour, a Longside Hospitality Experience at €499 with lounge access and an open bar, and a Bench Experience in block 104 at €525. By 27 September the page showed three of them, the standard tickets, the Tourist Package and the Longside Hospitality Experience at the same prices, with no Bench Experience. A hotel in the same booking started at €98 a person on 18 September, against €84 for the Manchester United match. On 27 September the Bayern add-on read €99 and the Manchester United one €98. Read the product page before the payment screen. P1 says the tickets come "directly from the organizer" and that you "Get your tickets between 1 and 3 days before the event". Its terms call P1 "a reseller of Tickets" and say tickets and services generally cannot be returned, with an exception where the buyer has a right of withdrawal: "Tickets and Services cannot be returned unless … the Buyer has a right of withdrawal." If force majeure cancels or postpones the match you can end the agreement and claim a refund, and P1 may offer a voucher of the same value instead.
"Organizer regulations: No away fans allowed" sits under the fixture title, and "No Away Fans" appears inside the standard ticket's own list of what is included. This is a home-end product. P1 says the tickets come directly from the organizer. It does not explain which inventory pool these agency seats draw from, or how they relate to the club's public seat map.
Private sales on social media and forums sit outside anything the club endorses, and any listing offering a seat in the Grada de Animación is selling an area the club treats as members' and season-ticket holders' territory. The Agencias page is where I check whether an agency is authorised at all.
The nearest hotel to the ground sits about 1.6 km away on the Calle de Alcalá, which is where our guide to Madrid hotels for a match day starts.
If you are coming from Munich
The away end is not Atlético's to sell. The club's rules for members and spectators put it plainly: "El Club/SAD visitante será el encargado de vender las localidades de la zona visitante", and the sale runs "exclusivamente, por los canales del Club/SAD visitante". Those tickets go out against a list of names and ID numbers, and the same rules say the stadium box office does not sell them at all. Neither the club's seat map nor an authorised agency can put you in the Bayern section.
UEFA's Champions League regulations set the shape of it. Article 45.01 makes the home club release at least 5 per cent of the stadium's UEFA capacity to visiting supporters, priced no higher than the adult price home supporters pay in a comparable sector, and "in no case shall the price of those tickets for visiting supporters exceed €50". Article 45.04 entitles the visiting club to up to 200 top-category tickets for its premium supporters and sponsors, 75 of them free, and adds that it is "not obliged to take the full allocation". Liverpool's own ticket page for October 2021 records an allocation of 3,306 tickets at £42.81, with the club telling supporters without one not to travel. Arsenal's page for the April 2026 semi-final records 3,476 at £43.45, and press reports put Real Madrid at close to 3,500 in March 2025 and Barcelona at around 3,000 in April 2026. Nobody has published a number for this match. The €50 limit applies to the official visiting allocation. It does not cover the home-end products an agency sells.
For Bayern's own supporters the window has already shut. Its ticket status page carries one line under this match: "Ticket-Anfragen sind waren bis zum 02. September 2026 um 12 Uhr möglich." Requests were possible until 12:00 on 2 September 2026, which closed just over two weeks before I looked, and the duplicated verb is the club's own. How Bayern then divides whatever Atlético hands over is set out in the ticket FAQ on fcbayern.com, which would not render for me, so read the mechanics there rather than take them from me. The away end is sold through Bayern's channels either way, so ask the club before you believe a ticket site.
What a German club's away allocation at this ground looked like recently is on Eintracht Frankfurt's own fan pages, for the match here on 30 September 2025. Frankfurt told its supporters that "Die Tickets im Gastbereich kosten 55 Euro inklusive aller Gebühren", €55 with every fee inside it. Applications ran for three days, from 8 to 11 September 2025, and the club warned that demand meant "mit erheblichen Kürzungen bei der Ticketzuteilung zu rechnen", substantial cuts to what people had asked for. By match week its pages recorded "alle Gästetickets im Vorverkauf vergriffen", the allocation gone in the presale.
Away seats sit at the top of Fondo Norte. The fan sheets Atlético writes for visiting clubs put them in upper blocks 313 to 319 and 413 to 419, behind a net that stops things being thrown, with entry through gates 23 and 24 on the north side. Frankfurt's sheet added that stewards occupy the entire front row of the away end throughout. The sheets disagree about the metro. Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen both steered their supporters towards Canillejas on Line 5 and away from Line 7, which serves Estadio Metropolitano station. Only Frankfurt gave a reason, that the line is meant for home supporters travelling in. Tottenham Hotspur's sheet for the March 2026 tie allowed Line 7, "approximately a 10-minute, slightly up-hill, walk to the away turnstiles". Inter's 2025 sheet listed Metro operating hours of 06:00 to 01:30 and recommended the Metro for getting away afterwards, and Frankfurt and Tottenham both warned that visiting supporters could be held back for at least 30 minutes. Neither club was writing about this match.
For Frankfurt's visit in September 2025 the club told its supporters that no alcohol would be served in the away sector, that there would be no entry from the start of the second half, and that flagpoles of any kind were refused. It listed one megaphone and one open-bottomed drum for the whole away end, both already allocated. Frankfurt also noted that displaying the words "Ultras" and "Hooligans" is not permitted in Spain. Tottenham's March 2026 guidance separately barred bags bigger than A4, all face coverings, and items over 500g that could be thrown. I could not find an equivalent Bayern notice as of 17 September. If you end up on a home-end product instead, keep the colours out of sight. Atlético's rules do not ban an away shirt as such; article 7 f) prohibits "actuaciones de aficionado visitante en zona local, cuando suponga un riesgo para la seguridad y el orden público", visiting-supporter behaviour in a home zone where it creates a risk to safety and public order. Spurs were blunter with their own Category 1 holders, in home blocks 105 to 107, and told them not to wear the colours there.
Recent high-profile European nights at this stadium have involved large security deployments. Before the Arsenal semi-final in April 2026 around 1,500 security and emergency personnel were in place, and the trouble that night came at the home team's bus reception on Avenida de Arcentales, where a group broke the police cordon and officers charged to clear the avenue. Spanish police arrested one person and identified nineteen. I could not find a report of trouble involving visiting supporters here in 2025/26, and nothing at all from Bayern's earlier visits. The arrangements for the Bayern match have not been published.
Where the rest of it is written down
This page stops at the ticket. Which stand to choose is in the Metropolitano seating guide, what you can carry in is in the bag policy guide, how to reach the ground is in the transport guide, and the matchday guide covers the rest of the day. The away-fans guide goes into the north end properly. The sale process across every competition, members' windows and abono rules included, is in the main Atlético ticket guide. The other high-profile Champions League home night is Manchester United on 13 October, and that piece has the block-by-block state of a sale that had not quite finished.
The first section and its check date move whenever the club's stock moves, and a released season ticket can change the figure. The club sometimes publishes a "Mapa y horarios del estadio" notice in the week of a big match with the gate times on it, and Bayern may put out travel information for its own supporters nearer the date.
