Fondo Norte has gone and the €50 lower-tier Fondo Sur seats are members only

Atlético de Madrid host Manchester United on Tuesday 13 October 2026, kick-off 21:00 local time, which is 20:00 in the UK. The club sold this match to members from 1 September and to the general public from 3 September. When I opened the sales screen on 15 September, Fondo Norte read "Entradas agotadas", sold out as a whole area, and the blocks still listed across the other three came to ten seats.

Four of the ten sit in lower-tier block 129-131 of Fondo Sur at €50. The club's FAQ shuts that grada to anyone outside the membership: "Únicamente los socios del club (excepto Benjamines) pueden adquirir entradas en el Fondo Sur Grada Baja." That leaves six general-sale seats in home sections for a non-member. Three sit at €125 in the middle tier of Fondo Sur and two at €95 in Lateral Este upper blocks 425-427, tagged "Visibilidad Reducida" and marked down from €120. The sixth is €340 in Lateral Oeste, where the block list would not load, so the price is the area panel's figure.

Six was the reading at one moment, and the map can refill. Season-ticket holders can hand back a seat nobody is using "hasta 2 horas antes del inicio de cada partido", and the same FAQ tells them a seat given up several days out has a better chance of selling, so the seat goes back on sale. Nothing says one will turn up here, so open the map again a few days out instead of planning around it. When the club has nothing you can use, my first stop is P1 Travel, for reasons I set out below. Booking through the agency links in this article may earn Cholismo Lab a small commission, at no extra cost to you.

The €50 on the screen is not a price a non-member can pay

The entry point is the club's fixture list. A home match carries one or more of four buttons: COMPRAR ENTRADAS for a sale open to everyone, VENTA PARA SOCIOS for a members-only window, AVÍSAME to be told before general sale opens, and a separate VIP button. On the Spanish ticket list I checked on 15 September the match carried COMPRAR ENTRADAS on its own; the English match card shows GENERAL SALE and VIP SALE side by side, and the match page sends VIP buyers to Neptuno-Atlético de Madrid Premium. I have not looked inside the VIP route.

The button is not a stock count. During my derby check every area read "Entradas agotadas" while the list still showed COMPRAR ENTRADAS, so the button on its own may not tell you there is anything behind it. Open the area panel before you book a flight around it.

Clicking through did not put me in a queue, unlike the derby, where Queue-it quoted me more than an hour on 2 September. Here the site handed me to the seat map after a few seconds of bot checking, and "Seguir como invitado", continue as a guest, gets you past the login without an account.

A "Precios" panel lists the four areas with a "from" price and a number of seats. Both figures belong to that area's cheapest block rather than the area as a whole, which is how Fondo Sur read "Desde: 50,00 €" with four seats when the €50 was the members' block. Open the area and you get the blocks. That one carries the small print. The seats are members only and name-bound, the turnstile checks ID and membership card, and they are unallocated, so whatever you pick on the map is not where you sit. Every other Fondo Sur block showed sold out apart from 234-235, three seats at €125 in the middle tier.

Lateral Este had one block left, 425-427 in the upper tier, restricted view, with the ten blocks around and below it gone. The cheapest seat a non-member could still take here on 15 September was €95, against €50 for Osasuna eight days out from that LaLiga match. Neither figure is an opening price; both are what was left on the day. Sold-out blocks print no price, so their 3 September prices are not recoverable from the current sales screen. On the FAQ's account members get first refusal twice: 48 hours before every general sale, in any competition, and another 48 once the kick-off time is confirmed. The list already showed 21:00 on 8 September, five days into general sale, so I cannot tell you whether that second window has run. The match page asks supporters with reduced mobility or using a wheelchair to email [email protected] in advance.

The authorised agency I would use, and what I would leave alone

P1 Travel is one of four companies carrying the "Agencia Autorizada" seal on the club's own Agencias page, and it guarantees standard seats up to three together. On 15 September its cheapest Manchester United listing was €155, down from a struck-through €219 with a 29 per cent tag, and a hotel in the same booking started at €84 a person. That €155 and the 29 per cent tag were still there on 27 September, when the hotel in the same booking started at €98 a person. That price has been sliding: €199 when I first looked on 2 September, €175 on the 8th, €155 since the 14th.

Read the product page before the payment screen. P1 says the tickets come "directly from the organizer" and that you "Get your tickets between 1 and 3 days before the event". Its terms call P1 "a reseller of Tickets" and say tickets and services generally cannot be returned, with an exception where the buyer has a right of withdrawal: "Tickets and Services cannot be returned unless … the Buyer has a right of withdrawal." If force majeure cancels or postpones the match you can end the agreement and claim a refund, and P1 may offer a voucher of the same value instead. This is a home-end product, and the page says so twice. "Organizer regulations: No away fans allowed" sits under the fixture title, and "No Away Fans" appears inside the standard ticket's own list of what is included. What P1 can reach, and how that sits against the club's seat map, the page does not say.

Three things I would leave alone. Private sales on social media and forums sit outside anything the club endorses. Any listing offering a seat in the Grada de Animación is selling an area the club treats as members' and season-ticket holders' territory. And the club's own Agencias page is where I check whether an agency is authorised at all.

Book the room for a night that ends near 23:00, and our guide to where to stay in Madrid lists the districts you can still reach before the Metro closes at 01:30.

If you are travelling from Manchester

The proper route in is Manchester United's official away-ticket process. In 2019 the Manchester United Supporters' Trust described it like this: the ballot ran in order of credits earned over a rolling three-season period, with a slice reserved for supporters holding few or no credits in the group stage. Those beaten in the second ballot who could still travel at short notice were given the opportunity to join a last-minute returns list. On collections the club's Old Trafford ticketing update for 2026/27 says it has "agreed to reintroduce collections for as many European away games as possible from next season, should we qualify", and whether Madrid is one of them it has not said. The allocation and the application dates are not out either, so I would ask the club and ignore what a ticket site tells you.

The size is easier to place. UEFA's Champions League regulations (Article 45) make the home club release at least 5 per cent of the stadium's UEFA capacity to visiting supporters, priced no higher than the adult price home supporters pay in a comparable sector, and in no case above €50. The visiting club is entitled to up to 200 top-category tickets for its premium supporters and sponsors, 75 of them free, and Article 45.04 adds that it is "not obliged to take the full allocation". On the examples I can find, recent allocations at the Metropolitano have run in the low-to-mid 3,000s, and Arsenal published 3,476 at £43.45 for the semi-final on 29 April 2026. That range is my reading of other clubs' published numbers. Neither United's price in sterling nor any booking charge it adds is public. The €50 limit applies to the official visiting allocation. It does not cover the home-end products an agency sells. The listing I checked on 15 September was €155 through P1.

Away seats sit at the top of Fondo Norte. The fan sheets Atlético writes for visiting clubs put them in upper blocks 313 to 319 and 413 to 419. Entry is through gates 23 and 24 on the north side, then up the steps. The sheets do not all send you the same way in. The ones for Inter, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid route away supporters to Canillejas on Line 5. Tottenham Hotspur's advice for the March 2026 tie allows Line 7 as well, which stops at Estadio Metropolitano, "approximately a 10-minute, slightly up-hill, walk to the away turnstiles". Spurs wrote the most detailed: gather at Plaza de Céfiro for an escort leaving at 18:30, a 25-minute walk up a steep hill, the stadium open from 19:00, the away end held back "for a minimum of 30 minutes post-match". Frankfurt quoted the same minimum. Real Madrid's advice before the 2025 tie told its supporters to expect more than an hour.

The search is one part of the trip to plan for, and the numbers on it come from earlier visits. Tottenham's March sheet barred "Bags and rucksacks bigger than A4 in size", "All types of face coverings" and "Items weighing over 500g that can be used as missiles". That last one catches a heavy object you could throw rather than everything above the weight. Liverpool's European fan information gave different bag dimensions again. Until United or Atlético publish October's sizes I would leave the rucksack behind. The bag policy guide explains the stadium's general rules and why match-specific bag limits differ. Alcohol is neither sold nor allowed inside.

If you buy a home-end product from an agency instead, P1 says away fans are not allowed on it. Keep the colours out of sight in any case. The club's rules for members and spectators do not ban an away shirt as such. Article 7 f) prohibits "actuaciones de aficionado visitante en zona local, cuando suponga un riesgo para la seguridad y el orden público", visiting-supporter behaviour in a home zone where it creates a risk to safety and public order. Spurs were blunter, telling their own Category 1 ticket holders, in home blocks 105 to 107, not to wear the colours there. A shirt under a jacket costs you nothing.

Expect heavy policing. On the eve of the last meeting here, in February 2022, reports at the time described video of a group throwing chairs at United fans in the centre of Madrid, witnesses telling Europa Press they took the attackers for a radical Atlético faction, and separate footage of police using batons. Recent visiting-club guidance for European nights here has included escorts, ticket checks and searches, and the plan for this one has not been published.

Where the rest of it is written down

This page stops at the ticket. Which stand to choose is in the Metropolitano seating guide, what you can carry in is in the bag policy guide, how to reach the ground is in the transport guide, and the matchday guide covers the rest of the day. Away supporters have our away-fans guide for the north end. The sale process across every competition, members' windows and abono rules included, is in the main Atlético ticket guide.

The first section and its check date will be updated whenever the club's stock moves, and a season-ticket seat handed back can change the figure later. Two things are still worth watching for. The club may publish a "Mapa y horarios del estadio" notice in the week of a big match with gate times on it, and Manchester United may publish travel information closer to the date.
